Hello and thanks for visiting my website.

I'm delighted to tell you that my new novel Trip of a Lifetime is now in the bookshops and it's wearing a smart "Great Read" gold sticker from The Australian Women's Weekly.

This book is about secrets - the ones we keep from those we love, to protect them and to protect ourselves. Those secrets are like fine cracks in china and sometimes they're blown apart by some unexpected event. I wanted to explore what might happen when a violent crime dropped like a stone into the placid pool of everyday lives. But Trip of a Lifetime isn't a crime or mystery novel. It's a story of relationships. I wanted to explore what might happen to the victim and the people close to her, how their lives might be affected, what they might learn about themselves and each other, how they might change, and where the ripples might spread. Some of the people of people have kept their secrets and hidden their feelings for a very long time, some have left bits of themselves firmly stuck in the past.

One of the joys of getting older is the opportunity to change and grow, to take risks and question things we've always taken for granted - particularly things about ourselves. So Trip of a Lifetime is also about the challenges and the rewards of learning to be different.
